Describe yourself as an artist: I am a country music singer and guitar player

What makes you unique as an artist: I am young and not only sing but also play instruments

What instruments do you play? Guitar, drums, harmonica, mandolin

Tell us about yourself ( Personality, Principles): I am an easy going, laid back guy. I believe in God and my country.

Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of music? Rodeo – riding bulls – and wrestling

What inspired you to start playing and performing music? My Pa and my dad and Jim Garling – who has taught me a lot about guitar playing.

In your opinion, what makes a song great? Good lyrics and a good beat

Do you write Music: Yes

If so describe your creative process in your songwriting: I just get an idea in my head and then get my guitar out and start putting a melody to it

When did you first perform and what was it like? Probably around 5yrs old – My dad brought me up on stage to play my little red guitar and sing a song. I was hooked.

Who are your influences? George Strait, Dwight Yoakam, my parents and grandparents

What awards have you won for your music? My first award was 1st place in my 4th grade talent show. I have won Oklahoma Country Music Singers Association Youth Duo of the Year with my sister and I have won NACMAI Youth Male Traditional Country Vocalist of the Year and I have won Traditional Country Band of the Year with my family group The McKedys.

What advice would you give someone that is trying to break into music? Learn to play an instrument, listen to some of your favorite artists, take a few vocal classes, and put in the work.
